[Remote] Technical SEO Specialist

They are seeking a Freelance Technical SEO Specialist to improve website performance, search visibility, and organic traffic through technical optimization and strategic SEO recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits to identify website issues, optimization opportunities, and performance gaps
• Analyze website performance data and search metrics to provide actionable recommendations that improve organic search visibility and traffic
• Serve as a trusted SEO consultant, offering ongoing guidance on technical SEO best practices and search engine optimization strategies
• Review and optimize metadata, page titles, headings, and other on-page SEO elements to improve rankings and click-through rates
• Evaluate internal linking structures and implement enhancements to strengthen content relationships, improve crawlability, and support site architecture
• Review existing website content and recommend SEO-focused improvements to increase relevance, engagement, and search performance
• Optimize existing content through keyword alignment, structured data implementation, and technical SEO enhancements
• Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot schema markup across relevant pages to improve search engine understanding and rich search results visibility
• Add, update, and manage technical SEO code elements as needed to support optimization initiatives
• Ensure all technical SEO fundamentals are properly configured and maintained, including indexing, crawlability, site structure, redirects, and page performance
• Work within WordPress to manage website content, implement SEO recommendations, and support ongoing optimization efforts
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize SEO initiatives and communicate findings, recommendations, and results

Skills

• Proven experience in Technical SEO, website optimization, and organic search strategy
• Strong understanding of website architecture, crawlability, indexing, schema markup, and on-page SEO best practices
• Experience with SEO tools such as Conductor, Google Search Console, Google Analytics
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and technical website implementations related to SEO
• Experience implementing structured data and schema markup
• Proficiency working within WordPress CMS environments
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
• Strong communication and consulting skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
