[Remote] Senior Account Executive, IP Solutions - Americas
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sun IP is a technology-enabled provider of global intellectual property services, and they are seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive new business and expand existing relationships across law firms and corporate IP teams in the Americas. This full-cycle role focuses on generating pipeline, closing new business, and expanding existing accounts through a consultative sales approach.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and pursue new opportunities within law firms and corporate IP departments
- Build and manage a self-sourced pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry engagement
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand client needs and position Sun IP solutions effectively
- Deliver tailored presentations to IP professionals, including attorneys, partners, and IP operations teams
- Represent Sun IP at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
- Sell across Sun IP’s service portfolio, with a primary focus on patent and trademark renewals
- Position additional offerings, including filings, translations, recordals, and IP support services
- Navigate multi-threaded sales cycles across legal, operational, and procurement stakeholders
- Clearly articulate value through service quality, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts
- Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Build account plans to expand revenue within existing clients
- Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and responsiveness
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting within CRM systems
- Follow structured sales processes and stage definitions
- Participate in regular pipeline reviews and forecasting discussions
- Maintain consistent pipeline coverage aligned with quota expectations
Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience selling IP services or solutions
- Direct experience selling patent and trademark renewals is required
- Proven track record of generating pipeline and closing new business
- Experience selling into law firms and corporate IP teams
- Strong consultative and solution-selling skills
- Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- High level of ownership, accountability, and urgency
- Ability to operate effectively in a growth-oriented environment
- Experience with filings, translations, or recordals is strongly preferred
