[Remote] Cloud Administrator (USA Based) - N.A. Service Delivery Group

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Canadian Bank Note Company, Limited is a global leader in secure document solutions. They are seeking a Cloud Ops Administrator responsible for configuring, monitoring, and managing cloud instances to ensure high availability, reliability, and security for their North American customers.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain services, instance nodes, networks, and other IT infrastructure components
• Design, maintain, and improve infrastructure‑as‑code and automation pipelines to reduce manual operations and improve reliability and repeatability
• Monitor system and database instances performance, identify issues, and optimize performance
• Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and databases instances from unauthorized access and threats
• Develop and implement backup and recovery plans to ensure services and instances are ready and available 24/7 and on demand
• Provide technical support for systems and instances in test and production environments
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system and database configurations, changes, processes, and procedures

Skills

• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Fluent in English (speak, read, write)
• Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related field) or equivalent additional relevant experience
• 4-7 years of system administration experience with at least 1 year of cloud operations experience or vice versa
• Knowledge of system administration, cloud computing (Azure), security best practices
• Technical knowledge of: O/S: Linux, Windows Server, cloud instances
• Technical knowledge of: Virtualization: VMWare, XCP-NG, JVM
• Technical knowledge of: Containerization/Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
• Technical knowledge of: Deployment/Configuration: Puppet, Terraform, Ansible, Bicep, Helmchart
• Able to work an on-call rotation of 1 week on/5 weeks off
• Able to travel approx. 2-6 weeks/year
• Any of the following certifications: CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Associate
• Hands-on experience supporting hybrid cloud environments
• DevOps knowledge and experience
• Automation knowledge and experience
