Position Overview: First Notice of Loss (FNOL) Customer Service Representative I

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Inbound FNOL Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic remote team. In this role, you will serve as the critical first point of contact for engineers, technicians, and field operators reporting property damage claims. Your ability to provide quality inbound communication services while accurately recording First Notice of Loss (FNOL) claims will directly impact the recovery process for our clients and their customers.

This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while enjoying the benefits of being part of a thriving organization. Please note: arenaflex is unable to consider candidates residing outside of the United States. Additionally, applicants residing in California, North Carolina, Washington State, Illinois, and Oregon are ineligible for employment at this time.

Key Responsibilities

As an FNOL Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, your typical day will involve a variety of meaningful tasks that require attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Accepting Inbound Calls: Receive and professionally handle incoming calls from engineers, technicians, and other field operators who are reporting First Notice of Loss claims related to property damage.
  • Accurate Data Entry: Communicate effectively with callers while simultaneously entering detailed and accurate information into a customized claims database.
  • Reporting Underground Damage: When applicable, report underground damage incidents to the appropriate locate companies to ensure proper coordination and response.
  • Delivering Outstanding Service: Provide exceptional customer service to client representatives, ensuring every interaction reflects arenaflex's commitment to excellence.
  • Photo and Location Analysis: Carefully analyze submitted photographs and accurately map the correct location of damage to support the claims process.
  • Special Project Support: Participate in special projects as assigned, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the department.

Tiered Support Bonus System and Incentive Program

At arenaflex, we believe in rewarding hard work and high performance. In addition to your base compensation, you will have access to two distinct bonus opportunities designed to recognize and incentivize excellence:

Tiered Support Bonus Structure

The tiered support bonus is based on total fees generated across arenaflex during the month. Bonuses are paid per pay period on the paycheck following the period in which they are earned. This is additional compensation earned for doing your job exceptionally well:

  • Level 1: $105 bonus
  • Level 2: $150 bonus
  • Level 3: $205 bonus

FNOL Incentive Program

This program is specifically designed for FNOL team members and offers high-performers an opportunity to earn additional income each month. The incentive is calculated daily and paid on the 5th of the following month. Each day where your talk time, not ready time, and service level meet the set standard, you will earn $10. This means your dedication to performance directly translates into enhanced earnings.

Essential Qualifications and Required Skills

To succeed as an FNOL Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, candidates must possess a combination of technical skills, communication abilities, and personal attributes. Below are the required skills and abilities for this position:

Technical and Administrative Skills

  • Typing Proficiency: Ability to type a minimum of 55 words per minute, error-free, to ensure accurate and efficient data entry during calls.
  • Software Competency: Fully competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PDF applications, and internet searches.
  • Photo Analysis Skills: Must be able to analyze and interpret photographs to determine the nature and extent of damage.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

  • Advanced Phone and Verbal Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and empathetically over the phone.
  • Active Listening: Strong active listening skills to understand caller needs and capture all relevant claim details.
  • Written Communication: Excellent written communication skills for accurate documentation and correspondence.
  • Reading Comprehension: Excellent reading skills with the ability to read and follow scripts accurately.

Work Environment Requirements

  • Must establish an appropriate work environment within their home for work purposes. arenaflex provides the necessary computer equipment to support your success in this remote role.

Experience and Education

  • Customer Service Experience: 6 months to 1 year of previous customer service call center experience is required.
  • Microsoft Teams Experience: Experience with Microsoft Teams is a plus.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

The FNOL department at arenaflex functions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
