[Remote] Subject Matter Expert — Enterprise Finance & Operations

Recruitment Room - Global is a confidential organization seeking Finance and Accounting Professionals to provide senior domain expertise in data curation for frontier AI models and labs. The role involves leading reviews of complex finance and operational scenarios, facilitating resolution among reviewers, and providing expert advisory to client teams.

Responsibilities

• Senior Review — Lead reviews of complex finance, accounting, and operational scenarios
• Consensus Building — Facilitate structured resolution of disagreements among reviewers
• Framework Development — Contribute to the development of financial evaluation frameworks
• Expert Advisory — Provide expert advisory hours to client teams reviewing AI model outputs
• Documentation — Author standards-aligned financial and operational commentary
• Subject Expertise — Deliver expertise across accounting, finance, tax, and business operations

Skills

• 5+ years in finance, accounting, or operations at a US-based company (retail, e-commerce, or consumer brands exposure)
• Investment Banking (Retail/Consumer), Big 4 Audit/Advisory, Corporate FP&A, Controllership, or DTC/E-commerce Operations background
• CPA and/or CFA strongly preferred
• Knowledge of US GAAP, tax structures (sales tax nexus, 1099s, W-2s), employment practices (I-9s, at-will employment, benefits)
• Experience with month-end close, board reporting, vendor negotiations, fulfillment cycles
• Familiarity with tools such as Shopify, QuickBooks, Zendesk, HubSpot, Workday, Slack, Google Workspace
• Strong written communication skills adaptable to different audiences
• Ability to reconcile data across multiple documents/systems
• Ability to lead and document reviewer consensus
• Disciplined adherence to project protocols
• Prior exposure to AI evaluation, digital transformation, fintech, or business process automation
• Experience reviewing financial documentation, workflows, audit materials, or business process outputs
• Experience mentoring, training, or managing finance/accounting professionals
