[Remote] Data Analyst & Insights Consultant

Green River is a technical services, software engineering, and data analytics firm dedicated to helping organizations achieve social impact. They are seeking a Data Analyst & Insights Consultant to work with clients on leveraging data to measure performance, foster improvement, and drive outcomes, while collaborating with data engineers and scientists.
Responsibilities
- Lead sessions with organizations to set shared understanding of goals
- Research and identify relevant data available for investigation and analysis
- Navigate between technical, programmatic, and executive conversations while maintaining a focus on organizational outcomes and user needs
- Recommend key performance indicators for priority goals
- Design dashboards, visualizations, and reports to interpret indicators and generate insight
- Assist with setting technical specifications for data integration and analysis operations
- Ensure privacy and security policies and procedures are rigorously followed
Skills
- Creative, curious, diligent, and technically adept analyst
- Experience working with clients to understand how data can be used to measure and communicate performance
- Ability to collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and UX designers
- Lead sessions with organizations to set shared understanding of goals
- Research and identify relevant data available for investigation and analysis
- Navigate between technical, programmatic, and executive conversations while maintaining a focus on organizational outcomes and user needs
- Recommend key performance indicators for priority goals
- Design dashboards, visualizations, and reports to interpret indicators and generate insight
- Assist with setting technical specifications for data integration and analysis operations
- Ensure privacy and security policies and procedures are rigorously followed
- Bachelor's degree, applicable to business analytics, data analysis, analytics engineering, or data science
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for both technical and business leader audiences
- 3 - 5 years' experience with business intelligence strategies
- Significant experience using BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker Studio, Superset and/or Quicksight
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with data in databases via SQL, CSV and spreadsheets
- 2+ years working remotely
- Facility with analytical programming languages such as R and Python is a plus
