[Remote] Senior Workday Consultant

Solution Architects Group, LLC is a premier Workday Services Partner seeking a certified, client-facing Workday Consultant to join their rapidly growing deployment and optimization practice. The role involves leading end-to-end Workday implementations and post-production optimization engagements for mid-market and enterprise clients, requiring strong technical skills and stakeholder management abilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions and architectural design workshops with client stakeholders to gather business requirements, map workflows, and define system blueprints
- Own the end-to-end configuration of Workday modules (e.g., HCM Core, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Payroll, or Financials) across prototype, testing, and production tenants based on approved client design documents
- Oversee the mapping, extraction, transformation, and loading of legacy system data into Workday environments utilizing advanced EIBs, advanced loads, etc, and data validation protocols
- Support clients in the authoring of comprehensive testing scenarios, lead clients through User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and troubleshoot/resolve complex configuration defects
- Assist clients with system cutover strategies, post-go-live hypercare, and the creation of custom end-user training documentation
- Manage personal project timelines, deliverable deadlines, and client allocations to consistently meet and exceed firm utilization benchmarks
Skills
- Must hold at least one current, active Workday Partner Certification (e.g., Workday Core HCM, Financials, Payroll, or a specialized functional module)
- 3–5 years of hands-on consulting experience working within a certified Workday Services Partner ecosystem or an enterprise-scale implementation environment
- Proven experience guiding external enterprise clients through standard Workday deployment methodologies (e.g., Workday Your Way, Launch, and/or Launch Express)
- Deep expertise in building complex Workday Business Processes (BPs) and multi-layered Security matrices
- Advanced report-writing capabilities (Matrix, Composite, Trended) and calculated field architecture
- Strong proficiency managing mass data transformations via Excel and EIBs
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage client expectations, de-escalate project friction, and explain technical limitations to business leaders
- Cross-functional certification or experience
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites as dictated by project kickoffs or critical go-live milestones. Expected travel <10%
