Structural Engineer
Brindley Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Structural Engineer to conduct field evaluations of industrial structures. The role involves analyzing data, developing models, conducting calculations, and creating engineered rehabilitation or replacement plans.
Responsibilities
- Support field evaluation of existing structures
- Develop calculations and analytical models in steel and concrete
- Design rehabilitation and/or replacement plans
- Specify materials, write reports
- Technical support for and quality control of structural construction
Skills
- Min Yr = 0Max Yr = 3+ experience
- E.I.T. Preferred licensure
- Familiarity with modelling software such as STAAD required
- Knowledge of ACI 318, AISC, ASCE-7, IBC required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Physical mobility (on the ground and at heights)
- Ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work off platforms/scaffolding/ladders using the appropriate and required fall protection
- Ability to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold, and wind) while wearing the appropriate PPE
- Ability to position oneself to work in confined spaces
- Ability to adhere to a client's random drug testing program prior to entering their site
- Ability to meet a client's facial hair safety policy prior to entering their site
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD

- Bachelor of Science in Civil / Structural Engineering
