Junior Software Engineer

General Dynamics Mission Systems is a leading provider of high technology solutions for defense and scientific applications. They are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join a cross-functional team responsible for developing software for next-generation sonar arrays for the United States Navy submarines.

Responsibilities

• As a software engineer for the SONAR business area, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for develop software for a next-generation sonar array for future United States Navy submarines

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or Engineering, Science, or Math, plus 1 year of relevant experience; or Master's degree
• Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire
• U.S. citizenship is required

• Clear understanding of the software engineering concepts, principles, theories, software development process, and agile methodology
• Clear understanding of the software development process, with agile experience
• Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
