[Remote] Contingency Litigation Attorney
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. United Hotel Supply is a U.S.-registered import, supply, and e-commerce company operating across hospitality supply, furniture, and solar. They are seeking a licensed U.S. attorney to take on disputes on a pure contingency basis in banking and payments as well as customs and logistics disputes.
Responsibilities
- Take on disputes on a pure contingency basis in banking & payments disputes and customs & logistics disputes
- Provide a candid, fast read on merits and likely recovery for specific disputes with full documentation
- Agree on a contingency percentage in writing before starting on a case
- Handle the matter with provided records, context, and prompt responses
Skills
- A licensed U.S. attorney to take on disputes on a pure contingency basis in two areas
- Are an active, licensed attorney in good standing in at least one U.S. state (multi-state or federal practice a plus)
- Have a demonstrable track record in banking/financial-services litigation, UCC/payment disputes, or trade/customs/logistics law
- Work on pure contingency and can quickly assess whether a claim is worth pursuing
- Can operate remotely and communicate clearly with a founder, not a legal department
- Know the relevant forums — CFPB, OCC, state financial regulators, FMC, CBP, and the courts — and when to use which
- Your state bar number(s) and states of admission
- A 2–3 sentence summary of a banking or customs/logistics dispute you've handled and the outcome
- Your standard contingency percentage
