[Remote] Business Development Director

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing
  • Develop and execute strategic outreach plans
  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships
  • Collaborate with customers to identify opportunities for additional services
  • Address customer needs, concerns, and inquiries in a timely manner
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention
  • Review contracts and make recommendations to Executive Management
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events
  • Coordinate event participation, including booth setup and materials
  • Engage with attendees, generate leads, and promote company offerings
  • Follow up on leads generated from events

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent knowledge or skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience
  • 5+ years or sales, business development, commercial operations, or account management experience
  • Understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, and lead generation strategies
  • Knowledge of the company's services, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • Negotiation and persuasive selling techniques
  • Organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to build and foster relationships with team members
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent time management skills, capable of handling multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • A valid driver's license
  • Ability to conduct self in an appropriate manner as a representative of SEC, working effectively in a diverse work environment
  • Preferred experience in the Electric power, generation, transmission, and distribution industry
