[Remote] Vice President Operations

This role encompasses end-to-end responsibility for optimizing operations across various services, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and transforming the operational model to support growth and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Leadership of the Americas Operations function is responsible to lead and develop a high-performing, fully integrated Operations organization spanning field service engineering, calibration services, CQV execution, logistics, distribution, inventory management and multi-site facility operations. And to build and sustain a motivated, accountable, and performance-driven organization aligned with Ellab’s global standards and growth ambition
- A key focus will be implementing the Ellab Group’s global career model, designed to attract, develop and retain top operational talent while positioning Ellab as an employer of choice. This accountability includes coaching, training, and mentorship of regional leaders, operational managers and technical staff across all Americas sites
- As a member of the Americas Executive Leadership Team, this role is accountable to serve as a core member of the Americas Leadership Team and collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, HR, IT, Commercial Operations and global counterparts to drive integrated business performance, contribute to strategic decision-making and ensure the Americas Operations organization delivers against financial, operational and growth objectives
- Financial Performance Accountability is a critical criterion for this role with full P&L accountability for Americas Operations, including revenue delivery support, margin optimization, cost control, and operational efficiency. Driving performance across engineering services, field operations, logistics, inventory and equipment utilization to ensure scalable and profitable growth
- Partner closely with the Commercial teams to align demand forecasting, capacity planning, supply and operational planning and resource deployment. Ensure operational readiness to support commercial commitments while maintaining strong service quality and satisfaction
- Establish strong accountability within the organization by ensuring regional and functional leaders own local KPIs, including productivity, service margins, inventory accuracy and cost. Continuously monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions to optimize profitability and efficiency
- End-to-End Operational Excellence and Business Model Maturity by leading the continuous improvement of Americas Operations into a scalable, standardized and high-efficiency operating model. Drive operational excellence across all sites and functions, including engineering services, logistics network, equipment lifecycle management, warehouse operations and field execution
- In collaboration with global Ellab Stakeholders, implement scalable systems, governance structures, and standardized processes that improve consistency, reduce complexity, and enhance service delivery. Actively support the transformation from traditional labor-based delivery models into high-margin, solution-based operational offerings
- Ensure alignment across all Americas facilities, driving consistency in execution, asset utilization, process adherence and operational governance across a multi-state footprint
- Customer Success, Business Development and Operational Enablement will partner with Sales and Business Development teams to design and deliver integrated operational solutions that meet customer needs across validation, calibration, and monitoring offerings. Support complex quoting and solution designs for large scale projects, ensuring accuracy in cost modelling, operational feasibility, and delivery planning
- Ensure all operational services meet or exceed regulatory, quality and compliance standards (including ISO and GMP requirements). Build strong operational execution capabilities that directly support customer retention, expansion, and long-term partnerships
- Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) Integration to support Ellab’s broader M&A strategy by assessing operational capabilities of potential acquisition targets within the US market. Contribute to the due diligence with a focus on operational scalability, integration complexity, and synergy realization
- Lead post-acquisition operational integration efforts, ensuring alignment of systems, processes, equipment management, logistic networks and organization structures. Drive smooth cultural and operational transitions while embedded Ellab global standards across acquired businesses
Skills
- 10+ years of operations leadership experience in a cGMP-regulated industry, preferably in validation, calibration, or quality services, including proven track record of leading complex service delivery or consulting operations, ideally in regulated industries
- Experience with organizational transformation, service line development, and professional services optimization (driving change)
- Demonstrated success in driving financial performance and operational excellence
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and data-driven decision-making abilities
- Function leadership with P&L accountability experience driving top-line revenue (per budget), profitability (per margin) and positive EBIDTA contribution (per target)
