[Remote] Sr. Cloud Reliability Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Delphi-US is a national IT Services firm based in Newport, Rhode Island, and they are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Reliability Engineer. This role focuses on cloud platform reliability and automation within an enterprise system environment, involving the design of scalable solutions and the implementation of SRE best practices using AWS cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and maintains reliability solutions and SRE utilities to improve cloud platform stability and reduce operational toil
• Builds and optimizes Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to manage AWS resources, ensuring cost-effective and scalable infrastructure
• Develops CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks to support rapid, reliable software delivery
• Defines and implements SRE standards, including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and best practices across teams
• Applies software engineering principles such as version control, code reviews, and test-driven development to all development activities
• Participates in incident management, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with teams to reduce recurrence through proactive detection and pattern analysis
• Stays current with emerging AWS services, cloud-native technologies, and SRE methodologies, driving adoption of innovative solutions
• Collaborates within Agile frameworks to deliver integrated cloud automation solutions and produces blameless postmortems with actionable insights

Skills

• Proven experience in developing solutions in AWS environments, with deep understanding of core AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, EventBridge, Step Functions)
• Extensive experience with Python development, including building enterprise-grade APIs and utilities
• Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including module development and state management
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of observability tools such as Grafana, CloudWatch, and AWS Canary
• Experience defining, implementing, and managing SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, and conducting RCAs and postmortem analysis
• Familiarity with Agile and Scaled Agile methodologies, ITSM processes, resilience testing, and chaos engineering
• Experience with GoLang or additional programming languages
• Knowledge of resource cost optimization in cloud environments
• Experience with enterprise reliability frameworks and industry best practices
