[Remote] Account Executive (Retail)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. EBI Consulting is a firm committed to providing expertise in commercial real estate and environmental consulting. They are seeking a full-time Account Executive to expand market share within the retail sector by leveraging existing relationships and driving new business development initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to high-value retail clients, including national and regional brands, franchise operators, and multi-site portfolio owners
- Leverage an existing, active book of business to drive immediate growth across EBI’s service lines
- Identify and close new business opportunities with retailers, restaurant groups, franchise systems, private equity sponsors, and multi-site operators
- Cross-sell EBI’s multi-disciplinary service offerings (Environmental Due Diligence, ESG Strategy, Energy & Sustainability, Engineering, and Health & Safety) across large, distributed portfolios
- Maintain and develop long-term client relationships based on a deep understanding of client goals, site lifecycle needs, operational challenges, and brand standards
- Provide market intelligence to inform EBI’s sales strategy, forecasting, and service development within the retail sector
- Actively contribute to CRM utilization and sales process optimization
- Build long-term, dynamic, customer-centric relationships with clients
- Demonstrate strong business development, customer service, technical knowledge, and leadership skills, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university with a focus in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Environmental Science, or similar fields
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience with proven experience selling solutions or services to retail organizations, such as specialty retail, big box, grocery, convenience, or omnichannel retailers
- Demonstrated understanding of retail business models, including store operations, merchandising, supply chain, and corporate buying structures
- Experience engaging with retail decision-makers (e.g., VP/Director of Operations, Real Estate, Store Development, Merchandising, or Finance)
- Ability to identify and articulate value around key retail priorities such as store performance, cost control, scalability, risk management, and speed to market
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to translate complex offerings into clear, business-driven outcomes for retail clients
