[Remote] Account Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Media Intercept is looking for a Publisher Account Manager to support the publisher side of their growing newsletter advertising business. The role involves managing day-to-day workflows with publisher partners and ensuring successful campaign execution through strong communication and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for publisher partners across newsletter sponsorship and dedicated email campaigns
- Manage publisher communication around campaign details, advertiser expectations, creative assets, deadlines, tracking links, and delivery requirements
- Help keep campaigns moving through each stage of the process, including publisher outreach, campaign setup, scheduling, launch, delivery confirmation, reporting, and post-campaign review
- Maintain organized workflows, campaign notes, publisher updates, and internal tracking documentation
- Review publisher performance data regularly, including clicks, CTR, CPC, delivery pacing, publisher-level performance, and traffic quality
- Monitor traffic patterns and help identify potential invalid, low-quality, duplicate, non-human, or suspicious traffic
- Work with internal teams to review publisher performance, troubleshoot tracking or delivery issues, and ensure accurate reporting
- Help publishers understand campaign requirements, best practices, tracking expectations, and performance standards
- Make recommendations on which publishers are best suited for advertiser campaigns based on audience, category fit, historical performance, and traffic quality
- Support publisher onboarding, including campaign process, tracking setup, reporting expectations, and communication standards
- Build strong relationships with publishers and help identify opportunities to grow high-performing partnerships
- Ensure campaign workflows are followed consistently and that publishers have what they need to deliver successfully
- Work across advertiser categories including B2B, SaaS, fintech, lifestyle, consumer, DTC, and more
Skills
- 2–4 years of experience in publisher account management, media operations, ad operations, affiliate marketing, newsletter advertising, or a related role
- Experience working directly with publishers, newsletters, media partners, or email-based advertising channels
- Strong understanding of newsletter sponsorships, dedicated emails, campaign tracking, and performance-based media
- Comfort working with campaign data, reporting dashboards, spreadsheets, tracking links, UTMs, and performance metrics
- Ability to review traffic quality and identify unusual patterns, including invalid clicks, duplicate clicks, bot activity, non-browser traffic, rapid repeat clicks, or other suspicious performance signals
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple publishers, campaigns, deadlines, and moving pieces at once
- Clear communication skills and the ability to keep publishers aligned on expectations and next steps
- Strong process orientation, with the ability to help improve workflows, documentation, and campaign handoffs
- Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, client services, ad operations, and leadership
- Experience with CPC, CPM, flat-fee, or performance-based campaign models
- Existing relationships in the newsletter or publisher space
