[Remote] Finance Consultant

They are seeking a Finance Consultant to provide strategic and hands-on support across key finance functions in a commercialization environment, particularly in clinical or commercial-stage biotech or specialty pharma.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and hands-on support across: General Accounting
• General Ledger, Accounts Payable, month-end close
• Financial reporting and controls
• Revenue Recognition / Gross-to-Net (GTN)
• Government pricing, rebates, discounts, admin fees
• Returned and free goods accounting
• Coordination with third-party GTN providers
• Cost & Inventory Accounting
• Standard cost development
• Inventory accounting and capitalization (post-PDUFA)
• ERP & Systems
• ERP selection, implementation, or optimization (NetSuite, SAP preferred)
• Finance transformation and reporting infrastructure
• Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
• Process design and optimization
• FP&A
• Budgeting, long-range planning (LRP)
• Financial forecasting and reporting

Skills

• Proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, Controller, or FP&A leader
• Expertise in biotech or specialty pharma, particularly in clinical-to-commercial transitions and first product launches
• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition, GTN processes, inventory, and cost accounting
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP
• Background in venture-backed or high-growth biotech companies, ideally scaling organizations from 50 to 500 employees
• ERP selection, implementation, or optimization (NetSuite, SAP preferred)
