[Remote] Artificial Intelligence Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. hyrUP is a high-growth healthcare organization seeking its first dedicated AI Architect to define and execute the company's enterprise AI strategy. This highly visible role will lead AI initiatives across the organization, focusing on architecture, governance, and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise AI strategy, architecture, and platform selection
- Design and deploy production-grade AI solutions leveraging LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and workflow automation
- Establish AI governance, security, and responsible AI frameworks
- Architect scalable cloud-based AI platforms and services
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies, vendors, and platforms
- Partner with business and technology leaders to identify and prioritize AI use cases
- Lead the architecture, governance, and enterprise adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI agents, and productivity-focused AI solutions
- Develop standards around AI security, observability, testing, and deployment
- Build and mentor a growing AI team over time
- Serve as the organization's AI subject matter expert
Skills
- Software engineering, architecture, machine learning, data science, or AI experience, including recent experience deploying enterprise Generative AI solutions
- Deep hands-on experience architecting and deploying Microsoft 365 Copilot solutions in enterprise environments
- Experience building, governing, and scaling AI agents using Copilot Studio
- Expert-level Azure experience, including Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, Azure AI Search, and enterprise cloud architecture
- Strong understanding of Microsoft security, identity, and governance frameworks including Entra ID, data loss prevention (DLP), and sensitive data controls
- Proven experience designing and deploying production AI solutions leveraging LLMs, RAG, AI assistants, and agentic workflows
- Experience evaluating, selecting, and implementing enterprise AI platforms and tools
- Strong software engineering background with Python and API integrations
- Ability to partner directly with executive leadership and business stakeholders to drive AI adoption
- Experience working with HIPAA, PHI, financial services, insurance, government, or other regulated data environments
- Healthcare industry experience
- Experience enabling business users through Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio
- Experience building or leading AI engineering, architecture, or platform teams
- Experience implementing AI governance, evaluation, observability, and quality assurance frameworks
- LLMOps / MLOps experience
