[Remote] Auditor - Medicaid

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe. They are seeking an Auditor to join their SafeGuard Services team, responsible for conducting audits, identifying risks, and providing analysis for business improvements.

Responsibilities

• Audits cost reports, claims submissions and performs ad-hoc focused audits
• Identifies inherent and residual risks and conducts risk-based audits
• Develops an understanding of the function to be audited and uses business knowledge, analytical skills and experience in identifying findings and improvements
• Works closely with team members to provide ongoing progress reports and updates of audit findings
• Participates in projects/audits
• Provides research and data analysis for moderately complex projects
• Stays abreast of new audit developments

Skills

• 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
• Degree in finance, accounting or related field preferred
• Experience in finance, accounting or audit
• Intermediate knowledge of internal audit policies and operating principles
• Intermediate understanding of Medicare/Medicaid or healthcare auditing and their revenue cycles
• Intermediate risk assessment and scoping skills
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
• U.S. citizenship required
• Intermediate financial and business acumen
• Basic project management skills
