[Remote] Senior Account Executive

They are hiring a Senior Account Executive to support account strategy, manage client relations, execute media strategies, and contribute to content creation while mentoring junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Support strategy sessions and assist with the development of integrated PR plans
- Contribute fresh, differentiated approaches to client programs throughout the creative development process
- Partner with senior staff to build an understanding of account financials, scope management, and staff utilization
- Collaborate with in-house digital marketing and social media professionals to align communications efforts with broader campaign goals
- Serve as a trusted, day-to-day client point of contact across accounts—keeping clients informed, managing expectations, and proactively surfacing issues and opportunities
- Take an active, prepared role in client update calls, status meetings, and strategic discussions
- Own the execution of assigned projects—managing timelines, coordinating team deliverables, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks—with minimal oversight from supervisors
- Maintain accurate internal and client-facing dashboards and reporting
- Develop and execute media strategy across accounts, contributing ideas for both proactive and reactive opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists and editors across trade, regional, and national print, broadcast, and online outlets
- Develop compelling, well-researched pitches and lead outreach via email and phone
- Oversee end-to-end pitch campaigns: assigning media list builds, reviewing pitch quality, coordinating outreach, and managing coverage reporting
- Monitor the media landscape for timely opportunities and position clients as credible, go-to sources
- Draft and edit press releases, bylines, case studies, messaging documents, and sales collateral with accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Develop social media content that reflects an understanding of clients’ audiences, brand voice, and current platform best practices
- Contribute to award submissions, speaking proposals, and thought leadership programs
- Mentor and support junior team members in developing core PR skills and client knowledge
- Effectively 'manage up' to Supervisors, Directors, and VPs, keeping leadership informed and engaged
- Oversee project management and contribute to a culture of accountability and follow-through
- Participate in agency team-building initiatives and contribute to a collaborative, energized team culture
Skills
- 3–5 years of PR agency experience—you've built a strong foundation and you're ready to operate with greater independence and ownership
- You can hold your own in a room: confident, prepared, and capable of having a high-level conversation with a client, a senior journalist, or an executive
- An organized, deadline-driven professional who can manage multiple accounts and competing priorities without dropping the ball
- A strong, versatile writer with a sharp eye for accuracy, clarity, and brand voice across formats—from media pitches to client deliverables
- A proactive communicator who anticipates needs, keeps the right people informed, and doesn't wait to be asked
- Curious and adaptable—you ramp up quickly on new industries and clients, asking smart questions and connecting dots others might miss
- Collaborative and team-oriented, but also comfortable taking ownership and working independently when the moment calls for it
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
