[Remote] Founding Account Executive (AE)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CWILL is a fast-growing company that builds a unified post-purchase and retention suite for Shopify and e-commerce brands. They are seeking a Founding Account Executive who will own the US sales motion from start to finish, building the sales process and playbook as they go, while sourcing and closing deals with e-commerce merchants.
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle for e-commerce/Shopify merchants: prospecting, discovery, demo, negotiation, close
- Build pipeline from scratch — outbound, inbound, events, and the ecosystem (agencies, 3PLs, app partners)
- Hit and beat aggressive new-revenue targets, and forecast honestly
- Build the sales engine, not just close deals: create the playbook, process, and CRM discipline (we run on HubSpot), and turn what works into a repeatable system instead of tribal knowledge in your head
- Partner cross-functionally with Partnerships, Customer Success, Product, and our engineering/data team to win and onboard accounts
- Be Product's strongest signal from the market — bring field insight and merchant needs into the roadmap, and keep a tight, two-way feedback loop with Product that drives iteration
Skills
- 3+ years of closing, quota-carrying sales experience in e-commerce and the Shopify ecosystem
- Deep knowledge of Shopify and the broader e-commerce ecosystem — apps, agencies, 3PLs, and the post-purchase landscape
- A real hunter: ambitious, self-driven, and resilient under pressure. You push deals forward and you don't fold when it gets hard
- High-goal orientation with a strong bias to action — you set the bar high and drive toward it without being told to
- Structured thinking and the ability to build systems — you create process, documentation, and repeatable motions where none exist today
- A documented track record of quota attainment and deals you personally sourced and closed
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in post-purchase, retention, shipping, or logistics (carriers, 3PLs, fulfillment) — directly relevant to what we sell
