[Remote] Senior Software Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Insight Global is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for one of their retail clients in Des Moines, IA. In this role, you'll work as part of a cross-functional agile team focused on building and maintaining customer-facing applications, creating reusable components, and mentoring other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of a cross functional agile team focused on building and maintaining customer-facing applications
• Create reusable components that are shared across many application
• Work with other team members to cross-pollinate ideas and skills
• Find, monitor, and address performance issues
• Take features from conception to final production deployment
• Contribute heavily to user story definition that takes our technology stack into consideration
• Continue to push the bounds of what is possible
• Work in a highly collaborative environment
• Mentor other engineers
• Working on full stack development with customer facing product but all working on the back end as well

Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, primarily using React and Node
• Experience or proven ability to work in a fast paced, Enterprise to mid-size environment
• Ability to pick up any technology and be adaptable to different situations
• Proven experience in developing and creating secure, resilient, maintainable applications
