[Remote] Senior Mechanical Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Conrad Consulting is currently hiring a mid-level Mechanical Engineer in their Building Engineering Division – Energy team. The Mechanical Engineer will work on decarbonization and electrification projects, leading the design of HVAC systems and engaging with clients to assist in decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of building HVAC systems and district energy systems
• Field investigations to document existing conditions
• Selection and calculations for design purposes
• Work with Jr Engineers to develop and review project drawings and documentation
• Interact directly with clients by completing analysis of design options, cost benefit comparisons, and communicating results to assist in decision making process
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and utility requirements

Skills

• 4-8 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
• Well-rounded experience in HVAC and hydronic system design
• Experience with Revit or AutoCAD
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Designing geothermal or district energy systems experience preferred
• New York State Professional Engineer's license is a plus
