[Remote] Senior Network Engineer - CONUS

OBXtek is a growing leader in the government contracting field, currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support a Network Engineers and Specialists Support project for DHA. The role involves serving as the network subject matter expert, leading design and troubleshooting efforts, and mentoring junior engineers while ensuring compliance and security in network operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the premier network SME for the program supporting CONUS and enterprise operations
• Lead design, configuration, sustainment, and troubleshooting of LAN/WLAN/WAN environments
• Provide escalation support for complex network outages and performance issues
• Mentor and technically lead Referral Network Engineers, Associates, and Specialists
• Implement and maintain network security controls, firewalls, VPNs, and Zero Trust architectures
• Develop and update standards, SOPs, and technical documentation
• Support RMF/ATO activities, vulnerability remediation, and compliance efforts

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years (degree) or 10 years (non‑degree) Enterprise Network Engineering experience
• Extensive experience with Cisco infrastructure, SolarWinds, ARMIS, Ansible, and enterprise routing/switching
• Experience supporting DoD healthcare systems (e.g., MHS GENESIS)
• IAM Level III (DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant)
• CCNP - Required
• CISSP - Required
