[Remote] Legal Counsel

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Bachrach Group is a highly respected global organization in the insurance and financial services sector. They are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel for a temporary engagement to support commercial contracting, outsourcing, and technology transactions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead legal advisor on complex commercial agreements, including technology, SaaS, cloud services, software licensing, professional services, procurement, and vendor contracts
• Negotiate and draft a wide range of commercial agreements supporting multiple business units
• Partner with procurement, technology, compliance, privacy, and business stakeholders on strategic initiatives
• Advise senior leadership on outsourcing strategies, vendor relationships, and commercial risk management
• Support M&A-related projects, including contract due diligence, disclosure schedules, and post-closing integration matters
• Help develop and enhance commercial contracting processes, playbooks, and best practices

Skills

• J.D. and active bar membership
• 5+ years of experience as a commercial transactional attorney
• Strong experience negotiating complex technology, procurement, outsourcing, and vendor agreements
• Familiarity with data privacy, cybersecurity, and vendor risk considerations
• Ability to work independently and partner effectively with senior business stakeholders
• Experience within insurance, financial services, or other highly regulated industries is a plus
