[Remote] CAD / Engineering Drafting Technician (Solidworks/Onshape)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. OSI Engineering is seeking a CAD / Engineering Drafting Technician to focus on CAD modeling and mechanical design for projects involving lab equipment and system development. The role requires collaboration with engineering teams to ensure design quality and support engineering initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining CAD models and mechanical designs using SolidWorks
• Supporting engineering initiatives by contributing to system design, prototyping, and modeling efforts, including work related to lab equipment and mechanical assemblies
• Collaborating closely with internal engineering teams to ensure design quality and alignment with project goals
• Applying strong modeling techniques, contributing to design improvements, and supporting overall engineering execution

Skills

• 10+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience
• Strong experience with CAD tools, specifically SolidWorks and OnShape
• Experience with mechanical design and modeling
• Associate's degree or higher in Engineering or related field
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
• Experience with robotic assembly systems
• Master modeling techniques
• Experience working with lab equipment
• Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems
• Experience in fast-paced or startup environments
