[Remote] Cultural Exchange Program Manager

They are seeking a Program Manager to oversee coordinator support, host family engagement, and program operations, ensuring the quality and consistency of each program.
Responsibilities
- Manage group program readiness from coordinator assignment through post-program follow-up, including timelines, tasks, applications, forms, background checks, placements, and final materials
- Serve as the primary contact for U.S. coordinators and host families, providing clear communication, timely support, and thoughtful problem-solving
- Lead coordinator hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development to ensure coordinators understand Go World’s values, expectations, and program standards
- Build and maintain a strong coordinator network through regular communication, resources, feedback, and recognition
- Oversee the host family application, approval, preparation, and placement process to ensure families feel informed and supported
- Prepare accurate placement materials, including matching spreadsheets, placement packages, participant details, and final calendars
- Manage coordinator and host family tasks across Google Workspace, the client portal, and CRM, maintaining accurate and timely updates across all systems
- Manage host family and coordinator engagement through Facebook groups, portal updates, newsletters, recognition moments, and other communication channels
- Support orientations, mid-program check-ins, surveys, reviews, and post-program wrap-up to strengthen each program cycle
- Gather feedback, document lessons learned, and implement process improvements that improve accuracy, reduce manual work, and create a more consistent Go World experience
- Capture quotes, photos, videos, and stories from programs to support Go World’s marketing, storytelling, and community engagement
Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience in cultural exchange, student travel, education, youth programs, homestay programs, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience managing coordinators, teams, contractors, volunteers, or community-based staff
- Strong passion for cultural exchange, international education, and community-building
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Experience managing multiple deadlines, stakeholders, and moving pieces at once
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills
- High proficiency with Google Workspace, including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Calendar
- Comfort learning and working in digital systems such as client portals, CRMs, project trackers, and online forms
- Willingness to travel as needed for program support, training, events, and key program moments
