They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable systems that support their digital products, while also mentoring other engineers and contributing to architecture and engineering standards.


Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable systems within a team or product area
  • Contribute to the evolution of technical architecture and engineering patterns in alignment with organizational standards
  • Build and optimize continuous delivery pipelines, improving deployment speed and reliability
  • Partner with product and design peers to translate business objectives into actionable technical work
  • Scope, estimate, and deliver medium-to-large initiatives with minimal oversight
  • Collaborate across teams to resolve technical challenges, dependencies, and integration issues
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming, design discussions, and collaborative problem-solving
  • Contribute to the definition and improvement of team-level engineering practices and technical standards
  • Demonstrate curiosity and continuous learning — evaluating tools, techniques, and technologies that could improve team and business outcomes

Skills

  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages and deep expertise in at least one technology domain
  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles and ability to apply them effectively within team scope
  • Experience designing distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-based services
  • Proven ability to make informed tradeoffs balancing cost, scalability, security, and maintainability
  • Effective communicator, able to influence decisions and share complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Consistently delivers end-to-end solutions independently, from design through production
  • Contributes to improving code quality, design consistency, and operational reliability across the team
  • Models accountability, technical rigor, and collaborative problem-solving
  • Naturally curious and growth-minded - stays current with industry trends and applies relevant insights to the team's work
