[Remote] Senior Consultant – Risk & Analytics (Property & Casualty Actuarial Consulting)

WTW is a leading global advisory, broking, and solutions company, and they are seeking a Senior Consultant in their Risk and Analytics Corporate practice. The role involves leading project teams in actuarial consulting, focusing on reserve studies, pricing analyses, and client relationship management while mentoring junior colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Assist with actuarial activities on various project teams
- Prepare the first draft of client deliverables for review by more senior colleagues on project teams
- Seek and participate in key learning and development opportunities
- Maintain steady progress through exams (if applicable)
- Build strong internal relationships and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
- Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels
- Train, mentor and serve as a best practices resource for junior colleagues, new staff and project team associates
- Deliver superior, consistent project management for assigned clients
- Deliver work in accordance with project deadlines
- Grow and forge new relationships with clients; play an active role in client communications and delivery of results
- Experienced colleagues will serve as the project manager on some projects which includes:
- Creating project plans
- Monitoring progress to deadlines and budget
- Increased client interaction
- Scheduling and managing regular status meeting calls
- Ensuring appropriate and effective communication among team members and the client
- Delivering projects that meet or exceed client expectations
- Increasing efficiency within client teams by identifying ways to improve processes
- Meet billable hour goals
- Perform work efficiently and look for process efficiencies
- As project manager, support project profitability through effective project management
- Contribute to sales and marketing efforts by drafting proposals and responding to RFPs
Skills
- Actuarial exam progress toward ACAS and/or FCAS credentials is highly encouraged
- Excellent skills across the Microsoft Office suite
- Programming skills such as VBA, R or Python and proficient knowledge of manipulating databases like SQL would be an advantage
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Well organized and detail oriented
- Proven experience successfully working on multiple projects at the same time while producing quality deliverables on time and within budget
- Ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner
- Strong client service orientation
- Ability to ask the right questions and seek help where appropriate
- Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues
- Interest and ability to think beyond the task at hand and understand how one's work fits into the broader landscape
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to draw conclusions and identify trends from data in a logical, systematic way
- Ability to work both independently and on client teams and enjoy a fast-paced environment
