[Remote] Software Engineer (Japanese, English)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. iManage is dedicated to Making Knowledge WorkTM, providing a cloud-enabled platform for professionals worldwide. They are seeking a Software Engineer who will enhance their core platform by designing and building impactful solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring effective communication with their Japanese customer base.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing modules and features for the iManage Work family of products in Azure cloud
- Collaborating within cross-functional engineering teams as well as peer teams to build an integrated solution
- Interfacing with customers and internal stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and solution requirements
- Encouraging software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation) and related tools like GitHub, Jira, Jenkins etc
- Communicating, documenting, and presenting in front of technical and business audiences in Japanese and English
- Striving to consistently learn and improve within the company as well as share knowledge with colleagues globally
Skills
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proficiency in both written and spoken Japanese and English (business-level or higher)
- Professional experience building software applications with Java
- Proficiency in one other programming languages; full-stack development as a plus
- Proficiency with relational database and NoSQL systems
- Thought leadership and design skills in one or more key technology areas: high-transaction systems, micro-services based distributed architectures, fault-tolerant designs, data and system security
- Experience with Linux platform as development and runtime environment
- Knowledge of secure coding and design practices (including threat modelling) as a plus
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and build management; use of Docker as a plus
