[Remote] Senior Director, Hardware Product Management

The Senior Director of Hardware Product Management will lead the product management organization, overseeing a team responsible for defining the product vision and roadmap for Lime's vehicle experience, ensuring industry leadership in hardware and technology.

Responsibilities

• Define the multi-year product strategy for next-generation vehicle platforms and future mobility modes
• Lead a team of Product Leaders across specialized workstreams, including Next-Gen Vehicle Platforms, Upgrades to our Existing Fleet, Reducing TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), and developing Technologies that solve problems on behalf of Cities
• Oversee the strategy and execution of global technology pilots
• Partner with engineering leaders to go deep on our key programs weekly, inspecting projects, helping teams solve problems, and making quick decisions
• Ensure that our hardware and city tech is well represented to city officials during the RFP process, translating complex technical capabilities into clear value propositions
• Ensure the team is aligned on product strategies that allow engineering to build scalable solutions across multiple vehicle modes
• Own the product vision and execution of features that make cities love Lime, prioritizing high-impact compliance technology
• Set the product goals to drive down Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and identify product-led solutions for battery efficiency, connectivity, and hardware diagnostics
• Partner closely with Hardware Engineering, Firmware, IoT, and Backend teams for technical tasks and engineering execution
• Align the product roadmap with Government Relations to secure permits and solve city needs
• Seek ways to make products more reliable to save costs on parts and labor
• Partner with User Experience, Research, and Design teams to understand customer needs and build solutions they love
• Deep dive on financial analysis with finance partners to ensure high-quality investment decisions

Skills

• Extensive experience managing and scaling product management teams in a fast-paced environment
• Proven leader of leaders
• Proven track record of leading product management for complex, integrated products that span both hardware and software
• Familiar with the technologies at the heart of a SW-defined vehicle (IoT, embedded SW, and Computer Vision)
• Eager to roll up your sleeves, dive into the details of a hardware prototype, or spend time in the field to understand operational and rider pain points firsthand
• Experience presenting technical products to external stakeholders, regulators, or government officials in high-pressure environments
• Experience leading the end-to-end lifecycle of physical products, from initial concept and global pilots to full-scale deployment
• Ability to define high-leverage product requirements that allow engineering to build scalable solutions across multiple vehicle modes
• Experienced in using experimentation and User Research to make informed product decisions
• Strong ability to deep-dive into financial analysis and modeling to ensure we are making high-quality, data-driven investment decisions
