[Remote] Senior Director Finance

Weeks Group is one of the fastest-growing firms serving the data center industry, and they are seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused Senior Director of Finance & Strategic Growth to guide their next phase of expansion. This role involves corporate finance, strategic planning, mergers & acquisitions, and providing financial leadership to drive enterprise value creation in a rapidly growing construction and consulting business.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Leadership Team on strategic, operational, and financial decisions
- Lead long-range financial planning, capital allocation, and enterprise value creation initiatives
- Develop financial models supporting growth strategies, geographic expansion, new service offerings, and market opportunities
- Provide executive-level financial analysis and recommendations to support company objectives
- Participate in EOS Level 10 meetings and leadership planning sessions
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate, financially model, and support the launch of new products, services, and business lines, ensuring successful market entry and profitable growth
- Identify, evaluate, and execute acquisition opportunities aligned with company growth objectives
- Lead financial due diligence, valuation analysis, transaction modeling, and integration planning
- Coordinate with investment bankers, legal counsel, accounting advisors, and external consultants throughout transaction processes
- Develop acquisition integration strategies and post-close financial reporting structures
- Assess strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and other corporate development opportunities
- Develop and execute strategies for debt and equity capital raises
- Evaluate financing alternatives to support growth, acquisitions, and working capital needs
- Prepare financial presentations, lender packages, and investor materials
- Lead discussions with lenders, investors, private equity firms, and strategic capital partners
- Optimize company capital structure and liquidity management
- Manage and strengthen relationships with banking partners and financial institutions
- Negotiate credit facilities, revolving lines of credit, bonding programs, treasury services, and other financial arrangements
- Lead annual banking reviews and financing renewals
- Monitor covenant compliance and lender reporting requirements
- Partner with sureties and insurance providers to support project growth and risk management
- Provide executive oversight of project accounting, job costing, WIP reporting, and project profitability
- Ensure accurate forecasting of project cash flows, margins, contingencies, and financial risks
- Partner with operations and project leadership to improve project-level financial performance
- Develop financial tools and reporting that improve decision-making across active construction programs
- Oversee contract billing, change order financial impacts, revenue recognition, and project controls
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
- Strengthen internal controls, financial systems, and reporting capabilities
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry-specific financial requirements
- Oversee relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and external accounting partners
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting organization
Skills
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
- Significant experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure, or project-based industries
- Strong expertise in construction project accounting, job costing, WIP reporting, and project forecasting
- Experience leading banking relationships, credit facilities, and cash management programs
- Demonstrated success partnering with executive leadership teams on strategic financial decisions
- Advanced financial modeling and forecasting capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- Experience leading or supporting mergers and acquisitions
- Experience raising debt and/or equity capital
- Background working with private equity-backed, high-growth, or founder-led companies
- CPA, CFA, or MBA
- Data center, mission critical, industrial construction, or EPC industry experience
- Experience integrating acquired businesses and scaling finance organizations
