[Remote] Grant Writer (Volunteer)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. For The One is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to equipping, enhancing, and empowering nations to sustainably prevent and intervene in the exploitation and abuse of children and women. They are seeking a Volunteer Grant Writer to help identify funding opportunities and develop compelling grant proposals that support prevention initiatives and survivor aftercare programs.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and other funding sources
- Assist in developing and writing grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding applications
- Collaborate with leadership to gather program information, budgets, impact data, and supporting documentation
- Help maintain a grants calendar and track application deadlines
- Assist with grant reporting requirements and funder communications as needed
- Conduct prospect research on potential funding partners
- Support the development of compelling narratives that communicate organizational impact and mission

- Located within the Continental United States
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding organizational information
- Previous grant writing experience for nonprofits, educational institutions, or community organizations
- Experience researching foundations and funding opportunities
- Familiarity with grant management platforms and donor databases
- Experience writing persuasive proposals, reports, or fundraising materials
- Understanding of nonprofit operations and program development
- Knowledge of human trafficking prevention, child protection, survivor services, law enforcement partnerships, or international development
- Demonstrated experience writing persuasive content, proposals, reports, or fundraising materials preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, nonprofit development, proposal writing, technical writing, or a related field preferred but not required
