[Remote] VP, Legal Counsel

They are seeking a VP, Legal Counsel to provide critical legal guidance on major projects in advanced digital infrastructure, focusing on drafting and negotiating data center leases and service agreements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the drafting and negotiation of data center leases and service agreements with enterprise customers
- Advise on deal structuring for complex transactions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial management and project teams
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements supporting large-scale projects
- Develop scalable legal infrastructure
- Manage outside counsel
- Support broader legal operations, including compliance and risk management
Skills
- J.D. from an accredited law school with active bar membership in at least one U.S. state
- 5+ years of direct experience negotiating large-scale data center lease agreements with hyperscalers
- Willingness to travel 10–20% within the U.S
- Law firm and in-house experience
- Experience with commercial real estate financings
- Knowledge of compliance and risk management in data center environments
- Strong communication skills and good business judgment
