Business Development Rep

The Business Development Representative is responsible for generating a pipeline through leads and opportunities within assigned commercial accounts, partnering with the sales team to identify customer needs and facilitate communication.
Responsibilities
- Outbound identification/development and inbound follow-up on of land and expand opportunities within assigned accounts
- Assigned to multiple sellers to support their accounts
- May be dedicated to a subset of accounts (e.g., Fed, Sled, OEM)
- Partner with the sales team to create relationships with existing customers, identifying their potential needs and assist in developing a business case
- Move solid leads through the funnel, connecting them to a salesperson, and arranging in-person meetings, emails, or phone calls
- Maintain a pipeline of early-stage leads
- Maintain activities and related data in CRM system (Salesforce)
- Perform regular follow-up calls or emails and facilitate communication with existing customers to ensure their satisfaction and identify new potential needs
- Attend (where necessary) networking events, trade shows, webinars etc. to build relationships and generate leads
- Achieve goals by qualifying leads and identifying needs that can be addressed by Qlik products; passes lead to appropriate sales resources
- Incorporate feedback from the Demand Center leaders and sales team to review and revise qualification criteria over time
Skills
- 1 – 3 years experience in business development, sales or related field experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience researching, account planning, and prospecting into a list of accounts
- Proven track record of achieving sales metrics and consistent achievement of year-over-year quota attainment

- Commission within a range of $20,466.00 - $25,584.00 USD subject to meeting targets set forth in a sales compensation plan
