Resource Controller
Stoke-on-Trent City Council is committed to improving services for its local population and seeks a Resource Controller to join the Repairs and Maintenance service. The role involves providing excellent customer service, managing information from operatives, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Taking incoming phone calls
- Ensure accurate information is received from operatives (including sub-contractors) regarding requirement for additional trades / materials following repairs diagnosis
- Ensure all of the above is placed on the IT system and the IT system remains fit for purpose
- Build ongoing relationships with team members, operatives to create a positive working environment
- Ensure all operatives are aware of any ‘system or Health and Safety flags’ and relevant Asbestos Information prior to accessing a property
Skills
- Must be flexible and able to work as part of a team
- Excellent Customer service in all situations
- Willing to adapt and a flexible approach
- Good IT Skills Effective and consistent use of all communication tools available (phone, computer, face to face meetings)
- Ability to take initiative in varying and demanding circumstances
