Case Clerk
Atheria Law is a firm established in 2019, focusing on helping the insurance industry navigate complex risks associated with technology, media, and privacy. They are seeking a full-time Case Clerk to support attorneys in their San Francisco and Los Angeles offices, primarily handling legal research, maintaining case files, and communicating with clients and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Conduct conflict checks and open new files
- Conduct legal, factual, court docket, and records research
- Prepare correspondence for attorney review
- Review legal forms and documents for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain high-volume organized electronic case files and records (the firm is paperless)
- Review correspondence from clients, vendors, insureds, and retail/wholesale brokers to take appropriate action with attorneys and staff
- Review invoices and maintain excel spreadsheets documenting claim costs
- Communicate with clients, vendors, insureds, and retail/wholesale brokers regarding inquiries and requests
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or a paralegal certificate/degree from an accredited college or university, or certification from an ABA-approved paralegal program
- Excellent attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to work with databases and online technology platforms
- Detail-oriented, diligent, adaptable, and highly organized
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively with multiple attorneys in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to always maintain confidentiality and exercise professionalism
