Finance & Accounting Associate
VendorPM is a fast-growing startup focused on modernizing vendor and property manager interactions through a comprehensive vendor lifecycle management solution. The Finance & Accounting Associate will support day-to-day finance operations, manage invoices and payments, prepare financial reports, and collaborate with various teams to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day accounting operations, including managing invoices, bills, journal entries, and payments in Xero, Float and Stripe
- Lead the preparation of month end accrual schedules and entries
- Create and maintain financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including departmental budget-to-actual updates
- Assist with payroll processes, including running payroll cycles, calculating commissions and benefits, and processing reimbursements
- Help maintain and improve finance and accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer success and HR, to support business operations and financial initiatives
- Contribute to ad hoc analysis and special projects as the company grows
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or related role
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and comfortable working with data
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- A proactive, 'roll up your sleeves' mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Pursuing or interested in pursuing a CPA designation
- Familiarity with foundational SaaS business metrics (e.g., ARR, Churn)
- Exposure to modern financial tools (e.g., Stripe, Xero, Float)
