North American ETF Capital Markets Associate
Manulife is a leading international financial services provider, and they are seeking an Associate for their North American ETF Capital Markets team. This role involves monitoring market liquidity, supporting portfolio manager interactions, and analyzing trading costs to ensure efficient market functioning and high-quality investment outcomes for clients.
Responsibilities
- Independently monitor and assess secondary‑market liquidity and execution quality
- Actively support and coordinate PM interactions with AP and market‑makers as well as the ETF Ecosystem
- Lead analysis on trading costs, tracking difference, and market stress events for ETF, CEFs and In-Kind Mutual Fund transactions
- Play a key role in ETF launches, reconstitutions, and index changes
- Respond to sales, client, and due‑diligence requests related to ETFs and CEFs
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to ETF and CEF businesses
Skills
- 0–5 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree – preferred but not required majors: Finance, Economics, STEM, or related
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to explain results succinctly
- 2–5 years of experience in ETF capital markets, trading, product, or related roles
- Experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, Aladdin, Morningstar
- Programing and AI experience a plus
