Junior QA Analyst
TravelBrands is one of Canada’s largest travel companies, and they are seeking a Junior QA Analyst to support the quality assurance process. The role involves testing software applications, identifying defects, and ensuring products meet business and technical requirements while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Review business and functional requirements to understand system functionality
- Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT) support
- Validate that new features and enhancements meet requirements and business expectations
- Execute test plans according to project timelines
- Reproduce issues and provide detailed steps for developers
- Verify defect fixes and perform retesting
- Maintain test documentation, including test cases, test results, and defect logs
- Assist in creating QA standards, procedures, and best practices
- Document testing outcomes and provide status updates to project stakeholders
- Work closely with Business Analysts / Project Managers to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
- Helps in implementation of new testing strategies
- Be creative to solve current issues and shape the product to bring it to a higher quality
- All other duties as assigned by management
Skills
- College diploma or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Experience with our various booking engines, websites and applications
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and react with urgency, meet deadlines and produce results on time
- Ability to work in a multi-function, multi-tasking, detailed environment both within a team as well as independently
