Business Intelligence Analyst Sr - Data Visualization (Webster, MA or Remote)

Summary

As a Business Intelligence Analyst Sr (Data Visualization focused), you will transform complex data into clear, actionable insights through automated dashboards and reporting solutions. You will collaborate with your team to design and implement scalable data reporting frameworks and BI tools that enable consistency and efficiency across the organization, while applying data visualization and design principles to create intuitive, user-friendly experiences. This role requires expertise in visualization in Power BI, besides technicals skills in SQL and Snowflake for querying and preparing data. You will also need the ability to communicate complex data results in a simple, actionable manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, applying best practices in data visualization and design principles. Query and prepare data from Snowflake using SQL for visualization purposes. Communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences. Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable data reporting frameworks and BI tools that enable consistency and scalability. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into actionable solutions. Support automation of reporting workflows using Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Airflow. Document visualization standards and best practices for maintainability and scalability.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Data Analytics or related field. (MBA a plus) 6-8 years of experience in Power BI, analytics Proficiency in business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) Working knowledge of SQL and Python for data querying, analysis, visualization and automation. Skilled in developing automated workflows and scripts to streamline data processing and reporting. Experience with cloud platforms and data warehousing technologies. Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Bonus points for: Experience in insurance, underwriting, claims, or actuarial domains. Strategic planning and market intelligence expertise. Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
