Procurement Support

About the position The Procurement Support role is responsible for assisting with purchasing, inventory monitoring, supplier coordination, and order tracking to ensure materials are delivered on time and production requirements are met. Working remotely, you will support the Procurement Manager by maintaining accurate procurement records and collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

  • Anticipating requirements and purchasing at the best balance of price and volume
  • Checking inventory, tracking how inventory is used, and adjusts purchasing habits in accord with apparent trends
  • Review regularly (twice per week) MRP requirements and place purchase orders accordingly
  • Place all orders requested by Production.
  • Ensure they are logged promptly and correctly on the goods in Smartsheet and keep in touch with suppliers to ensure they are delivering on time.
  • Communicate with Production to ensure they are aware of progress.
  • Receive, check, attach Order confirmations
  • Communicating any raw material delays and expediting any urgent materials
  • Chase suppliers on late, not confirmed PO’s
  • Support in raising and maintaining call off orders
  • Liaise with Subcontractors, arrange transfer orders
  • Liaise with Accounting team and Goods In team to ensure their queries actioned
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure delivery dates meet required Production orders
  • Update price list on Kara and liaise with Finance if STD changed
  • Co-ordinate with the Operations team on material ordering and delays
  • Co-ordinate with Production Planner to ensure materials arrive on time and full
  • Help maintain and update information in Business Central
  • Perform any other duties assigned to ensure success of projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles
  • Experience in purchase orders, inventory management, and supplier coordination
  • Knowledge of Business Central or similar ERP system
  • Good English communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to work independently in a remote setup
