Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Food Service Team Leader at arenaflex, your days will be dynamic and rewarding. While no two days will be exactly alike, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Sales Goal Achievement: Understand and analyze sales objectives, then plan and execute daily and weekly action plans to meet department and store sales goals. This includes strategizing food service promotions, managing adjustments, developing sales plans, analyzing performance data, and overseeing promotional and price change initiatives.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Work a flexible schedule that aligns with guest and business needs, including early mornings, evenings, overnight shifts, and weekends. Remote flexibility allows you to balance professional commitments with personal life.
  • Guest Service Excellence: Model and uphold the highest guest service standards, ensuring that every interaction reflects the arenaflex commitment to a fresh, full, and welcoming experience. Develop team members who can confidently share product knowledge and create memorable guest connections.

  • Standards Compliance: Conduct daily walkthroughs of Food and Refreshment guidelines and service routines to identify business needs, assess performance, and address gaps through structured follow-up actions.
  • Food Safety Leadership: Ensure strict adherence to all food handling standards, cleaning protocols, and safety regulations. Validate that team members follow proper procedures consistently.
  • Brand Standards Maintenance: Lead your team to uphold and maintain all partner brand standards and production specifications, including those associated with our Starbucks and Pizza Hut partnerships where applicable.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster productive relationships with district managers and partner representatives. Attend virtual planning sessions, capture key takeaways, and ensure seamless communication between field leadership and remote support teams.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure accurate in-stock positions by processing store-initiated orders according to established best practices. Implement proper short-term inventory management techniques to maintain precise stock records.
  • Production Decision-Making: Make timely production quantity decisions that balance freshness, in-stock availability, sales performance, and profitability throughout each operating period.
  • Trend Awareness: Stay current on important industry trends, new products, and emerging guest preferences. Encourage your team to remain informed and engaged with the evolving food service landscape.
  • Talent Development: Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions, develop guest-focused teams, and lead comprehensive onboarding processes. Identify knowledge and skill gaps and create targeted training experiences to close them.
  • Performance Management: Establish clear goals and expectations, hold team members accountable to performance standards, and provide constructive feedback that drives continuous improvement.
  • Training and Certification: Complete all required partner brand training programs and certifications, including Starbucks and Pizza Hut specific requirements where applicable.
  • Ethics and Compliance: Demonstrate a steadfast commitment to ethical conduct, safety, and regulatory compliance. Lead your team to operate with integrity and hold each other accountable to these standards.
  • Safety Culture: Create and sustain a safety-first culture by understanding how safety impacts your role and your team's wellbeing. Identify and correct hazards promptly, and ensure team members work safely to protect themselves and others.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Previous retail experience preferred but not required
  • Strong interest and foundational knowledge of the food service industry
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a willingness to hold others accountable
  • Ability to learn and adapt to evolving technology needs and digital tools
  • Comfort working both independently and as part of a collaborative remote team

Additional Fundamental Requirements

  • Physical ability to navigate stairs, ladders, and various work environments as needed
  • Capability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including frequent lifting or moving of products up to 40 pounds
  • Flexible work schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular attendance being essential
  • Ability to handle and move stock in coolers and freezers up to 40 pounds when required
  • Willingness to work in environments where common allergens may be present or handled
