The Opportunity: Packaging Strategy Lead - Data Management & Compliance

Join arenaflex's dynamic packaging strategy team as a Packaging Strategy Lead specializing in data management and compliance. In this critical role, you'll be instrumental in shaping the packaging experience for our beloved owned brands, exclusive partnerships, and travel packaging solutions. Your expertise will directly drive sales growth and enhance brand loyalty through packaging that is visitor-centric, on-brand, competitively effective at point-of-sale, and category-relevant.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work within a global team, collaborating with arenaflex offices, product vendors, and packaging providers across the United States, China, India, and other international locations. Key Responsibilities

Build and Implement Data Frameworks:

• Develop essential data requirements, taxonomy structures, and specification fidelity standards to support packaging design optimization and sustainability initiatives across all owned brand organizations
• Create and oversee change processes to ensure accurate packaging documentation management portfolios across multiple systems and partner teams

Collaborate and Communicate:

• Consult with key procurement, design, store operations, marketing, supply chain, properties, and compliance program owners to establish relevant data requirements and flexible standards
• Facilitate effective communication and roadshows with global partners regarding packaging development, compliance, and data accuracy best practices
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure proper interpretation and implementation of packaging data requirements, standards, and specifications

Optimize and Analyze:

• Evaluate data requirements, standards, and specifications to optimize safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions that align with industry standards
• Leverage data to identify trends or issues, collaborating with technology teams to measure the effectiveness of training and communications
• Research industry trends and assess arenaflex's corresponding data and standards practices, sharing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement

Leadership and Compliance:

• Consult with appropriate internal regulatory and compliance authorities, identifying impacts on current data requirements and standards
• Provide leadership and guidance to others, driving effectiveness and efficiency in team outcomes

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience developing and managing documentation and standards programs, preferably including packaging design and development
• Ability to influence without authority, manage projects, facilitate meetings, resolve conflicts, build consensus, establish rapport, and collaborate effectively
• Experience with documentation best practices, technical writing, and reporting
• Proficiency in developing and advising on content, structure, and delivery of effective training platforms, roadshows, and communications
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, creative thinking, and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Flexibility and resilience; ability to work effectively in uncertain and rapidly changing environments
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work, communicate, and lead in a highly collaborative environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Visio applications
