Position Overview: The Vice President, Sales – Beauty & Fashion is responsible for leading the commercial strategy and execution across consumer and professional channels for hair accessories, styling tools, and haircare. This role owns strategic customer relationships across key national accounts including Target, Ulta, Sephora, and national professional and independent channels, with accountability for delivering revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitable customer development. The VP will lead and develop a high-performing team, shape joint business plans, influence assortment and promotional strategies, and partner cross-functionally to drive winning execution across both retail and professional environments. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership and Channel Ownership:

  • Develop and execute an integrated sales strategy across consumer and professional channels to deliver sustainable, profitable growth across hair accessories, styling tools, and haircare.
  • Lead strategic customer plans for key national accounts including Target, Ulta, Sephora, and national professional and independent channels.
  • Identify whitespace opportunities, expansion channels, and growth levers across mass, specialty beauty, professional, and independent distribution.

People Leadership and Team Development:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales organization, creating clear accountability, strong execution discipline, and a customer-first culture.
  • Demonstrate proven people leadership through hiring, talent development, performance management, succession planning, and cross-functional team leadership.
  • Build organizational capability across national account management, professional channel development, forecasting, and commercial execution.

Revenue, Forecasting, and Profitability Management:

  • Own topline delivery across the assigned portfolio, with accountability for revenue, gross margin, trade investment, and customer profitability.
  • Lead annual planning, forecasting, and ongoing performance management, using data and insights to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with finance and cross-functional teams to manage trade spend, pricing architecture, promotional effectiveness, and return on investment.

Strategic Customer and Channel Management:

  • Build senior-level relationships with key customers and channel partners to drive long-term growth, distribution, and strategic alignment.
  • Lead customer negotiations, annual line reviews, assortment decisions, promotional planning, and joint business planning across strategic accounts.
  • Represent the voice of the customer and channel in internal planning, ensuring differentiated strategies by retailer, professional distributor, and independent partner.

Cross-Functional Leadership and Commercial Execution:

  • Partner with marketing, trade marketing, product development, supply chain, demand planning, and finance to align commercial priorities and ensure flawless execution.
  • Influence innovation pipelines, launch strategies, and assortment recommendations based on market trends, category insights, and customer needs.
  • Serve as a key member of the leadership team, providing perspective on customer strategy, competitive activity, channel dynamics, and business performance.

Market, Category, and Competitive Insight:

  • Monitor market trends, shopper behavior, category performance, and competitive activity across beauty, fashion accessories, and professional channels.
  • Use syndicated data, customer insights, and field feedback to shape sales strategies, assortment recommendations, and growth plans.
  • Translate insights into actionable commercial recommendations that improve distribution, velocity, and overall channel productivity.

Process Excellence and Business Planning:

  • Drive disciplined sales processes, annual operating plans, customer scorecards, and business reviews that improve visibility, accountability, and execution.
  • Champion the use of data, CRM, forecasting tools, and commercial analytics to improve decision-making and team effectiveness.
  • Continuously improve ways of working across channels to support growth, speed, and cross-functional alignment.

Executive Presence and External Representation:

  • Represent the company with executive presence in customer meetings, industry events, and internal leadership forums while reinforcing the brand’s strategic priorities and growth agenda.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, data-driven business updates and recommendations to senior leadership.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proven strategic and commercial leadership skills with the ability to translate company priorities into actionable customer and channel plans
  • Strong people leadership experience, including leading teams, developing talent, coaching for performance, and building organizational capability
  • Deep customer management and negotiation skills with experience leading senior-level relationships across national retail and professional channel partners
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in forecasting, trade investment management, pricing, promotional analysis, and customer profitability
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to use market, customer, and performance data to drive decisions
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including the ability to influence cross-functional partners and senior executives
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a high degree of ownership and adaptability
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage complexity and ambiguity
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with CRM, syndicated data, and sales planning tools preferred

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience, including significant leadership experience within beauty, personal care, fashion accessories, CPG, or adjacent categories
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic national customers such as Target, Ulta, Sephora, and/or comparable mass, specialty, and prestige retail accounts
  • Experience leading professional channels, including national distribution and independent channel management, is preferred but not required.
  • Proven track record of delivering revenue growth, expanding distribution, and improving profitability in competitive, high-growth environments
  • Experience with joint business planning, line reviews, annual customer negotiations, and cross-functional commercial leadership
  • Ability to travel up to 50% as needed
