Analytics Engineer
A leading data solutions company is hiring an Analytics Engineer to support their modern analytics ecosystem. This remote-eligible temp role lasts between 10 and 26 weeks. Our client is focused on improving reporting processes and data modeling systems to enhance business insights. *Analytics Engineer Responsibilities:*
- Develop and implement scalable, well-structured data models to support business intelligence and analytics needs.
- Simplify and optimize existing BI semantic layers, including Looker/LookML structures.
- Lead efforts to migrate BI tools and rebuild dashboards, ensuring seamless transitions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define key metrics, standardize logic, and create reliable self-service datasets.
- Support and maintain ELT pipelines, address data quality issues, and uphold best practices for data governance.
*Analytics Engineer Qualifications:*
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field.
- At least 3 years of experience in analytics or data engineering roles.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, with a solid understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling.
- Hands-on experience with Looker and LookML, including semantic layer development.
- Familiarity with modern data tools such as dbt, Airflow, and cloud data platforms like Snowflake or Redshift.
