Communications Specialist: Part Time, 1099 Role
COMPANY OVERVIEW Aurie Consulting is a small, woman-owned communications firm connecting the dots between internal and external comms. We believe strong communications are built from the inside out. As such, we partner with clients to create the communications systems, messaging, and strategic frameworks to help stakeholders understand where they’re going, why it matters, and how they fit in. JOB OVERVIEW We are seeking a creative, entrepreneurial, and enthusiastic Communications Specialist to join our team in a part time capacity. This person will report to and work closely with our Principal Consultant on two workstreams: content marketing and industry trends. This role is expected to require 30 hours of work per month, with equal time spent between the two workstreams. The role is remote with flexible work hours, but candidates must be based in the NYC metropolitan area (New York or New Jersey). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research and write polished, insight-driven reports covering trends in marketing, customer experience, and related industries
- Produce well-researched, relevant, and engaging blog content aligned with our content strategy and brand voice
- Develop supporting copy and assets to amplify blog content across platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Substack
- Provide strategic guidance on future content marketing direction
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in content marketing, copywriting, or other communications role
- Exceptional writing skills with ability to adapt tone and style for different formats and audiences
- Ability to deliver the “full package,” from conducting research to developing copy and visual assets for publication on the company website and social channels
- Highly organized, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal oversight
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Located in the New York metropolitan area (New York or New Jersey only)
- Additional consideration for candidates who are: Familiar with marketing, customer experience, or consulting industries; Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite
