Specialist in Behavioral Threat Assessment – Forensic Psychology / Criminology (Remote)

Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2026-06-13

Overview: Seeking a credentialed Forensic Psychologist, Criminologist, or Behavioral Threat Assessment professional to conduct an independent threat assessment. The objective is to evaluate the risk profile, behavioral patterns, and potential persistence of a primary adversary (an ex-partner) who leverages the sophisticated technical, surveillance, and proxy resources of an entire coercive control group. The client has recently separated from this situation and established significant physical distance. Scope of Work: Threat Timeline & Matrix: Review a high-level timeline of behaviors, tactics, and past digital/physical actions utilized by the primary actor and associated group members to establish a behavioral baseline. Risk Stratification: Provide a structured threat assessment evaluating the likelihood of proxy tracking, proximity-seeking behavior, escalation, or cessation given the new geographic boundaries. Safety & Mitigation Strategy: Collaborate with the client to integrate behavioral insights into a comprehensive personal safety and counter-surveillance framework, accounting for both individual and group-enabled threats. Documentation: Provide a summary report or structured assessment matrix that can be securely archived for potential future legal or protective use. Required Qualifications: Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Forensic Psychology, Criminology, Behavioral Science, or a closely related field. Proven experience or specialized training in Threat Assessment (e.g., membership in or alignment with ATAP or ASIS). Deep understanding of the psychology of stalking, intimate partner violence (IPV), coercive control, and group/proxy dynamics. Absolute discretion, trauma-informed approach, and willingness to sign a strict NDA. Budget & Compensation: This is a self-funded project by a private civilian maximizing personal safety out-of-pocket, not a corporate or institutional contract. Seeking a consultant willing to work in a focused, phased manner (such as an initial brief consultation and baseline assessment matrix) rather than requiring a large corporate retainer. Please include your baseline hourly or project rate for private individuals in your response. Apply To This Job
