. This crucial role will be responsible for ensuring that all company operations meet or exceed local, state, and federal environmental regulations. You will play a key part in developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental management systems and programs. Responsibilities include managing air emissions, wastewater treatment, hazardous waste disposal, and stormwater management. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of environmental laws and permitting processes, coupled with strong chemical engineering principles applied to pollution control technologies. You will conduct environmental impact assessments, develop strategies for waste reduction and pollution prevention, and oversee environmental monitoring and reporting activities. Experience in process modification to improve environmental performance, and conducting environmental audits, is highly valued. This position requires excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders. You will also be involved in training employees on environmental procedures and best practices. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, and permits. Develop, implement, and manage environmental programs and policies. Oversee air emission control, wastewater treatment, and waste management operations. Conduct environmental impact assessments and risk analyses. Identify and implement strategies for pollution prevention and waste minimization. Manage environmental monitoring, sampling, and reporting activities. Liaise with regulatory agencies and respond to environmental inquiries. Conduct environmental audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Provide technical expertise on environmental matters to engineering and operations teams. Develop and deliver environmental training to employees. Stay current with evolving environmental regulations and technologies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering. Minimum of 6 years of experience in environmental compliance and management within an industrial setting. In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations (e.g., Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA). Experience with environmental control technologies and pollution prevention strategies. Proficiency in environmental permitting and reporting processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience interacting with regulatory agencies. Ability to conduct site assessments and develop practical solutions. Apply To This Job
