Position: Software Developer (Tableau) Software Developer (Tableau) Location: Clarksburg, WV 26306 US (Primary) Category: Information Technology Job Type: Full-time Experience Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Education: Bachelor's Degree Travel: None Security Clearance Required: Secret TMC Technologies is in search of a highly skilled and motivated Software Tableau Developer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data visualization, business intelligence, and data analysis, with extensive experience using Tableau to create insightful and actionable dashboards and reports. The candidate must be a US citizen and possess a minimum of an active Secret clearance to start due to federal contract requirements. This position is considered to be a remote position; however, staff may be required to support face‑to‑face meetings with the business line or end users. There is potential for face‑to‑face SAFe ceremonies on occasion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports to support business analytics and decision‑making processes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Create and optimize data models, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can be used to improve business performance.
  • Implement best practices in data visualization to ensure dashboards are intuitive, user‑friendly, and effectively communicate key insights.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Tableau dashboards and reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Tableau features, updates, and industry trends to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of visualizations.
  • Provide training and support to end‑users to help them effectively use Tableau dashboards and reports.
  • Work closely with IT and data engineering teams to ensure seamless data integration and availability.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for Tableau development.

Job Requirements

  • Active Secret Security clearance required.
  • 5+ years’ experience designing, developing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards and reports to support business analytics and decision‑making processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Tableau Developer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Online.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases.
  • Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high‑quality work.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with other data visualization tools such as Power BI or Qlik View.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Certification in Tableau (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, Tableau Desktop Certified Associate).
