Your Project This initiative focuses on expanding and refining automation across key operational domains - from product implementation workflows to billing and provisioning systems, as well as various service‑related tasks, including bug handling and customer‑funded enhancements. In the role of Senior Scala Engineer, you will be part of a deeply technical environment, responsible for designing scalable backend solutions, strengthening existing automation frameworks, and supporting the ongoing development of a sophisticated enterprise platform that underpins workforce and payroll operations. Tech stack: Scala 2.13, Play Framework (pekko-based), MySQL, Redis, AWS services. Your Role Develop and maintain backend services in Scala using Play Framework to support automation of implementation, billing, and provisioning Optimize MySQL queries and ensure efficient data access across system components Support automation of service workflows, including bug fixes and client‑funded requests Build and maintain AWS‑based components to ensure system reliability and scalability Contribute to CI/CD processes, perform code reviews, and follow Git‑based development practices. Your Profile Strong knowledge of Scala (collections, Futures, immutability, pattern matching, etc). Good understanding of SQL optimization, indexes, and query profiling. Experience with AWS services Understanding of CI/CD and source control (Git, PR flow).
